Heralded as one of our country's foremost comics, Paula Poundstone's quick-thinking, unscripted approach to comedy makes for a perfect fit on NPR's #1 show, the screwball weekly news quiz show WAIT WAIT…. DON’T TELL ME! , where she holds the record for game losses. Now, in May 2017, Paula's first book, "The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search For Human Happiness," has been released to glowing reviews. Paula also has her own podcast called "Live From The Poundstone Institute" coming out July 8 via NPR. With Paula at the helm, the show will explore and riff on research studies that are so odd they just beg for someone to stand up and say, "wait, what?" The weekly episodes will be taped in front of a live audience.

Unafraid of experimenting with multiple production styles in a single song, the album ranges from emotional ballads with an 80's flair to Motown-style upbeat grooves with a modern edge.
While Yamin was working in a pharmacy when he took a chance and drove to Boston, Massachusetts to audition for American Idol and won a spot on Season 5. His signature performances on the show, with renditions of James Moody’s “Moody’s Mood For Love’, Leon Russell’s ‘A Song for You’, Elvis Presley’s ‘Trouble’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘If You Really Love Me’ made him a fan favorite and catapulted him to 3rd place in that season. Simon Cowell described him as “potentially the best male vocalist” of the competition, while Stevie Wonder encouraged him to pursue music full-time. It’s been full steam ever since.

With over ten recordings as a leader, vocalist, businessman and educator Kevin Mahogany has been the standard setter for jazz vocalists for three decades.
His broad baritone was forged in his hometown: the legendary jazz metropolis known as Kansas City; where he learned to swing like Charlie Parker, shout the blues like Big Joe Turner, and cry a ballad like Lester Young; while, extending, elaborating and refining the jazz vocal legacies of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Eddie Jefferson and Al Jarreau into the myriad, interwoven dimensions of music – from gutbucket, the Great American Songbook, and gospel, to Mingus to Motown.
There’s a science to assembling the parts, and Tommy Emmanuel’s technical gift has earned him multiple awards from Guitar Player magazine and made him a Member of the Order of Australia, an honor bestowed by the Queen in his homeland. But the average fan could listen without even considering the precision behind the work, focusing instead on the artful tension and release of Emmanuel’s melodies. That’s how he intends it.
“I write as if I’m writing for a singer,” he explains. “I don’t think, ‘Ah, it’s just a solo guitar piece.’ I try to imagine I’m playing with a band or with a singer, but then I play the whole thing as a solo piece and look for ways to give it space.”
*Note: Tommy Emmanuel's CGP designation stands for "Certified Guitar Player" – the title given by the great Chet Atkins to only 5 guitarists in the entire world.
